‘Gorilla Glue girl’ Tessica’s GoFundMe under investigation

Tessica Brown, who went viral  after she sprayed her hair with Gorilla Glue, claims the GoFundMe she set up is now under investigation and she can’t withdraw the funds, which she plans to donate to charity.

She wants to donate $20,000 to Obeng’s charity. Obeng is the doctor who performed $12,500 procedure of removing glue from Tessica hair for free.

When Brown first set up the fundraiser, she only asked for $1,500, but it ended up skyrocketing to over $23,000.

Now that she’s cemented her viral fame with a celebrity management team and a merch line, she decided she wanted to give back the cash, but she is now unable to withdraw funds. 

A GoFundMe spokesperson said they 'are in touch' with Tessica. 'Prior to the withdrawal, she must clearly state on the campaign page how she intends to use the funds'

Tessica has said she did edit the page to say she was using the donated money for expenses but it hasn't been updated with her new plans to donate to charities. 

Tessica also confessed that she had used Gorilla Glue after her hairspray ran out because she was in a rush to get out of the house for a date with her fiancé by a lake and she had multiple flyaway.

'We was leaving so I mean I went go to spray the Got2B glue and air came out of it, so now I'm looking around the whole house, I have to find something you know for these flyaways.'

She said she 'ran into the kitchen, ran past the refrigerator' and she saw what she believed would be her saving grace - a can of Gorilla Glue.

'I'm like you know what? I can use this and as soon as I come home I can take it off, you know wash it off,' she said.

She can't, GoFundMe has their rules and you can't raise money and spend it how you want to.

Her GoFundMe says it is for medical help and also people who donated in first few days believe it will be for treatment that she got for free.

Oh my god, it gets worse. What a shallow and stupid reason to use Gorilla Glue spray on her hair for. I mean, flyaways? For a date? Gurl, if you were that worried about what he would have thought of flyaways, just wait until he saw you without your "laid" hair. Doesn't the can also say that the adhesive may be/is permanent? Now I understand why there are instructions on shampoo bottles.

She only said that after people called her fraud. She hasn't even closed her GoFundMe page until it was shut down by GoFundMe few hours ago.
