It was not her house but James is attempting to liquidate all his assets as of recent and its very suspicious, especially that Lou is involved

Bold moves like these usually mean that rats are about to bite the dust and are trying to make a last few quick bucks, and I hope that's the case and they get away from her soon somehow.

Yup, I think this is the key here. To me, it feels as if he is liquidating everything because he knows his time is up on treating Britney like a little cash cow. Between his court loss recently, the huge media following on #freebritney, and all of the attention on the conservatorship, he knows the end is near for him.
