A right-wing Chilean politician Ivan Roca has sparked fury after he defended his son who is accused of raping a 12-year-old girl by saying 'she had a woman's body'.

Ivan Roca even suggested the young girl's parents 'should have protected her better'.

Mr Roca, a councillor in the opposition right-wing Chilean Independent Democratic Union political party, made the shocking statement in defence of his son Jurgen Roca Aguayo, 33, after he was remanded in custody accused of raping a girl.

After a furious online backlash to him comments, Mr Roca went on to say that it was 'a shame that it was always the man that paid the price'.

He added that while visiting his son in prison, he had formed the opinion that it was a 'tragedy' that there were so many young men in there for the same reason.

Another example of how women and girls are treated as worthless in this world. It makes me hate that I was ever born.

So it's clear that this man is okay with sexual assault and rape as long as it's done to women because women are only here to be objectified as property for men. Literal garbage. I wonder how he would feel if his son got victimized in prison. This politician is an example of the worst humanity has to offer.

...If you are parent of a minor girl, control, educate and lock herself, don't give her the freedom to do what she wants, no party with adults, no permissions at night, even returning by the night or morning, so you don't discover that she is having improper relationship with an adult...

He belongs to the conservative party in Chile.

The rapist is the victim of a "tragedy" and the raped girl should be locked up? Wtf :saladga:

Besides, I don't buy this excuse that "she looked like she was over 18/had a woman's body". Please, she wasn't 16-17, she was 12! At that age, you can ALWAYS notice or at least suspect someone is a minor - and as an adult you have the responsibility to check it out or avoid any involvement at all.

PS: No wonder conservatives associate gays with pedophiles. They're the hugest pedophiles, that's why they project that flaw onto anyone they dislike.
