We finally got power back this morning after having none for 15 hours :bradley: the temp in our apartment was in the 50s, almost 40s. Finally got our fridge/freezer foods back inside, we had to put it outside on a pile of snow overnight. This is the first time we've have reliable power in over a day where I can use my computer and stuff, though now our friends dont have any power and they did before. :bear:

Look at how Republicans handled the virus. They’re too childish and incompetent to run anything.

Texas needs to go Blue asap, at least at a state level, for their own good. Republicans are too comfortable, that's for sure.

We been without power since 4 am yesterday as well, I’m now getting ready to go check on our animals, hopefully they are ok, I’m just having a hard time to get up since we’ve been freezing all night, I even got a headache and my throat is hurting ass well.

I read that some people have died in their cars, this is getting out of hand

Just got power back after 32ish hours with no power (who knows how long the power will last). The whole “power is rolling” stuff is bullshit. Still waiting to have running water back too.

While I’m here and can say something....

Hope everyone is staying safe amongst these dangerous conditions.

I hope everyone is finding a way to stay warm.  What an awful situation.

I live outside the space time continuum.

Yes we have power but we just discover that all of our water pipes bursted so we’re going to be without water for a while, but at least we got to cook a warm meal for now before the rotation time is over, what about you?

I’m so sorry. I felt so fortunate to not have any water issues despite losing power for so long. I even had “hot” water (which was actually just lukewarm but still better than nothing). I think that’s the reason I didn’t lose water or have pipes freeze, cause the hot water heater is directly under the water lines and the pilot light must’ve never gone out.

The power just came back on thirty minutes ago and awoke me with lights. Got down to 42 degrees, which I have to admit my condo did better than I could’ve hoped. I promptly unplugged everything I had overlooked when the power was out, turned the heat on, and then got back in bed. Then I read your post and was reminded I could have hot food again, so now I’m having a bowl of tomato soup before heading back to bed and praying to Gaga this last a while, but it’s raining outside so I’m not expecting it to last too long :’) Hopefully the above freezing temps during the day today help.

It hurts to think how long recovery is going to take and how many people are going to be “discovered” in the following days. The amount of pipes bursting in Austin is/was insane, people are gonna be out of water for weeks here. Hope it’s not too bad for y’all over there!

Texas isn't use to this weather at all, so not cool.

My friend is in Texas and her power has been out too and has cut on and off but mostly stays off. She said it is freezing inside. She is trying her best to stay warm as well as she can, and keep her animals warm. This is horrible. Meanwhile businesses downtown are all lit up??

I got power back in the early hours of the morning. I had been using a heater that I plug in at night to sleep the last few days, so you can imagine how little sleep I got last night in the cold and dark.
I hope everyone is doing okay!
