I know the gap is big but 26 years old isn’t that young, a 26 year old person is normally already out of college and working. The only difference would be life experience. Not the same as it would be if a 60 year old was dating an 18 or 20 year old.

And yes, older men pursuing women far younger than them is the most common thing ever lol. Even more common amongst celebrities.

Back in April, when it was a trend to stay at home, she said COVID is “the great equalizer and what's terrible about it is what's great about it. What's terrible about it is that it's made us all equal in many ways -- and what's wonderful about it is that it's made us all equal in many ways."

I’m disappointed that she traveled worldwide for fun and went back on her words and contradicted everything she said about “making us all equal.”

Economically at least its been far from an equalizer its just made gaps worse

 

And socially clearly not either with celebs constantly putting up pics of their travels

I dont think its ageism. Theres literally a million things u can list where such a big age gap can be problematic

 

- Different stages of life

- different outlooks

- Goals and what they still wanna accomplish or experience in life often dont match

- maturity is often at totally different levels

- if relationship does happen to actually last into something meaningful one partner is extremely likely to loose their significant other very early in life

 

Like theres endless drawbacks to big age difference relationships and a good reason why they arent "the norm"

 

Theres exeptions to this and sometimes values and goals still align in individual circumstances despite big age gaps but when its always the rich and celebrities that disproportionately have all the big age gap relationships very few average joes have its prettt darn obvious whats going on most of the time likes lets be real
