Japan is in the Pacific Ring of Fire, it’s very vulnerable to earthquakes.

I think they mean that there was a thread about this earthquake yesterday

Mindblown

Yeah this could be felt as far away as Nagoya which is basically half way across Japan. It was a 5.0 earthquake in Tokyo. I know people in both locations that felt it. Japanese people rarely react to earthquakes because they are so common. My Japanese friend in Tokyo said that her foreign boyfriend was freaking out and made her leave the apartment building, but she didn't care lol. Of course during a bigger earthquake they will find it scary. My teacher in Osaka, Japan said she was in the 1995 Kobe earthquake and she lost her house and family members. Everything was leveled in the area. If you go to that area now, all the buildings are new because everything was destroyed in that earthquake. It's probably why I found the Kobe area to be really nice because it was all newer buildings.
