Jill 31,812 Posted February 11, 2021 Share Posted February 11, 2021 Apparently the hashtag #CancelDisneyPlus started trending after Disney announced Gina Carano, an actor appearing in "The Mandalorian", was fired after a status she posted on Instagram equated conservative people to jews during the holocaust. This was ironically preceded by another hashtag calling for Carano to be fired. Now, the hashtag #CancelDisneyPlus seems to be mainly about jokes by people that won't cancel their memberships, and from people calling out the "hypocrisy" of Disney for firing Carano but filming Mulan in China Anyways, another day another slay Former First Lady of the United States. They complain because Disney thanked the Chinese region they used for filming in the credits, where reportedly a lot of Uyghurs are being murdered, but the controversy would be worse if they didn't film it in China, so I don't understand it Former First Lady of the United States.
