Its just Lu 38 Posted February 10, 2021 Share Posted February 10, 2021 Already ten years I remember when I needed to do a presentation about an artist back in my school days (of course i chose Lady Gaga ) and Born this Way wasn’t even out back then. And when I talked about the upcoming album I was scared to tell the name of track 7 (wich is scheiße), because its a curse word here in Germany. My teacher gave me an 6 (like an F in America) just because I said the name I said before that the name is improper and caused a lot of Headlines here when the tracklist was revealed. Some people even tried to forbid the album just because of that track I mean, its about female powerment (which was and is a very important topic even back then here). I'm honestly thankful everyday that she was willing to risk her career just so we could all feel comfortable and secure in ourselves to be who we are. she made me feel like I was one of the cool kids and that I didn't have anything to be ashamed of myself - theres's not many artists in this industry who have had as high of a cultural impact like gaga has and that's why she's a true LGBTQ+ icon. Gaga fought for all of us when it was't cool to do so and that's pretty much why I love her so dearly - you can't beat authenticity. Ï could be your girlfriend for the weekend...
