The movie is the most well known “Oz” installment though, it’s not like this is Harry Potter where the novel is as popular as the film franchise.

I'd have no problem with a remake. They could do anything they like with it and it wouldn't detract from the original. It might even become a classic in its own right, but it definitely won't become a classic if it doesn't get made.

Gaga could do a good wicked witch and at the end her broomstick could turn into a discostick and everyone lives happily ever after. Or she could be one of Dorothy's travelling companions. They don't all have to be male. They can do what they like with it.

WHAT IF gaga singing somewhere over the rainbow in the beginning of a star is born (another original judy garland movie) was foreshadowing Gaga's role in the wizard of of remake??

this is one of if not the first movie I adored and watched at least 100 times as a child 

there is no way it will live up to the literal classic that is the 1939 version but i'm excited to see it!
