Its funny how TMZ talks about a doc that is against paparazzi, yet here they are doing the same thing to others.

Even if Britney does have some mental thing that we don't know about, that's no reason to keep her caged with no ****ing rights. Millions of people manage mental health issues every day. She could have the best doctors in the world helping her AND the support of her true friends, TRUE family, and her boyfriend. She doesn't need the god damn conservatorship idc what anyone says. It's asinine.

Jamie is the one who needs to be mentally evaluated. Controlling someone like this is sociopathic and abusive behavior.

I haven't been following all the details of #FreeBritney so can someone quickly explain why the courts keep siding with Jamie despite having her mother, medical, and legal professionals advising to have a different conservator? It's not like they're asking for her to be removed from it right, just to have someone else control it? I don't understand why they keep siding with Jamie.

Basically Jamie at the time used Britney’s bad press as a way to manipulate the system & get her under lockdown. Yes, it helped get her back on track but it shouldn’t have gone on this long & we truly don’t understand why the judge keeps siding with Jamie. There is endless proof that Britney doesn’t need the conservatorship & there’s clear evidence that Jamie is using Britney as a cash cow. He’s been mismanaging her estate, violating her personal rights & making her life toxic. From the very first moment this conservator ship was brought up Britney’s rights have been violated, even by the JUDGE. She had the right to obtain her own legal counsel & the judge told her lawyer he couldn’t represent her & violated her rights at that very moment. Here’s a letter written by a lawyer detailing the legal violations that have occurred.

Conservatorships are almost impossible to get out of. As a lawyer in the documentary said she has never seen anyone successfully get out of one and she specialises in the field.

It's designed, usually, for like elderly people with alzheimers who are incapable of making decisions relating to their life and/or finances and who may be easily scammed out of their money. Generally there is no reason for a conservatorship to end.

It also clearly worked for her at some point, Britney was at a very low point and probably needed it at first. Her life was then back on track she was thriving personally, being able to see her children again and being a good mother by all accounts, and professionally with albums/world tours/perfumes and her residency. It's then easy to argue that the conservatorship is working and that those who are her conservators are doing a good job and working in her best interest.

It's kind of like if you are wrongly accused of being a psychopath. Psychopaths are known as incredible manipulators and can mask themselves well, so even if you say all the right things to your psychologist while trying to convince him you are not a psychopath, it could be determined that you are being manipulative and charismatic which is a symptom of psychopathy. If you're genuinely not a psychopath you're screwed.

Britney is doing extremely well and is, by all accounts, "high functioning". Even though I don't follow this argument personally, it is easy to make the argument that Britney is doing extremely well and is high functioning THANKS to the conservatorship and so it is in her best interest for it to continue. Even if she is genuinely high functioning and doesn't need the conservatorship she's screwed.

It also doesn't help that Britney's money is used for both sides lawyers and that the conservators, being the guardians to her daily life not just her financials, choose the lawyers for her. Again, that makes sense for somebody who is genuinely unable to properly function and make those decisions, probably doesn't make sense for Britney.

Thanks.

I understand why Britney probably can't get out of the conservatorship but what I don't understand is why it has to be Jamie to be the one overseeing it. Her own mother, legal counsel, and doctors have all recommended a change. Why is the court allowed to ignore that?

Also as you said, it doesn't make sense that someone who is "highly functioning" enough to go through mentally and physically difficult things like touring and releasing music can still be not functional enough to manage their basic life. It's like saying that someone is medically braindead meanwhile they can do calculus just fine.
