You still have to have the drive and talent to recreate what the teacher is showing you, though. You can follow instructions well or you can follow them poorly. In order to create something good, you still have to try, that's the key. It doesn't matter if someone taught her or she was given something to copy, it's still hard to make something that good. I've tried to copy a drawing many a time and couldn't achieve anywhere near the same likeness. It's easy to copy words or numbers but it's super hard to copy images especially when you then have to colour it in and add shading and effects and all the rest.
