If her situation finally improves this year, with more and more people being aware of her predicament, I can't imagine anyone else than her for next SB. I don't even care if she lip-syncs, we owe her that. This, if all goes well & she can be free, she deserves it, she’s an icon. and she deserves the goodwill & love. we as a society owe it to her

socotra 3,310
Mariah Carey. I'm not sure it'll ever happen in light of current circumstances, but Britney deserves her own full show. If she's ever freed from the conservatorship, this would be a phenomenal way to stage a comeback. Aside from that, the only obvious next artist is Taylor Swift imo I just can't see the NFL choosing Bieber. I feel like he'd create more backlash/be similar to a Maroon 5 scenario. He just doesn't have the wide appeal, and seems to invite more hate than love from the GP, outside of casual fans. Ariana has certainly earned it, but similar to Rihanna, I just can't picture her doing it? She's pretty politically active (arguably the biggest celebrity to endorse Bernie Sanders in the 2020 primary) and willing to fight for her vision (see – Grammys 2019), and I feel like she'd rather stay away. Not to mention she's far more of a singer than a performer. I'm sure she'd put on a phenomenal show, I just feel like she has more to lose than gain from it. LilyLark 10,104
Miley or Rihanna would be solid. Dua would be a good pick, too. I love Tay, but I'm not sure she's suited to a half time show....

I was really in favour of that but her last albums were kinda tragic and I feel like that wouldn’t work out well (but her old hits are sooooo Super Bowl-like, if she just pays dust to the new stuff it’ll be amazing )

RabbitHeart 795
The Super Bowl seems to mainly pick women once they reach a point of enough name recognition/positive reception amongst old people (no offence old people). The main ones who I think are currently at that point are Britney, Rihanna, and Taylor. Miley is possible but seems less likely to me, since she hasn't actually had very many major US "hits".
