Glamourpuss 29,062
Wow those jokes, if you can call them that, are absolutely awful.

PawsUpJago 1,956
I like how so many people nowadays pretend like they weren't also dragging Britney back around this time and laughing at mean jokes about her, not saying it was right in the first place but I guarantee a lot are pretending when they say they weren't on that bandwagon at the time. Not defending Sarah btw, I never thought she was funny anyway.
weed 73,862
It's things like this that helped Britney reach her melting point and break down. I don't think it's particularly mean, but it shows how common it was to not respect Britney at all
SlipAway 880
Ah, so now that everyone is free Britney, we’re gonna be singling out some female comedians to punish them for something that’s from 14 years ago? No we’re not. Keep that energy though.
PartySick 160,413
Maybe keep the effort towards helping Britney instead of attacking people who said mean things at a roast 14 years ago? Like...what's the point of this? Imagine, years from now, if Gaga finds herself in a bad situation and her fans decide the best way to help is to start a cancel party on Twitter for that interviewer that asked her if she had a d*ck in 2008/2009. That's about how much sense this makes You're stinky
Married the Night 3,955
Good. She should NOT apologize. We are getting too sensitive. This was her JOB.
Chris Evans 8,917
she did her job... in 2007. People realize there are ACTUAL horrible/problematic people you can target in 2020 right?

Chris Crocker wasn't iconic because people supported him, he became a meme because people universally found his video ridiculous.

Debithius 5,863
Why do we have comedians if they have to apologize for jokes? Does anybody know how comedy works?
xoxo Craig 55,649
I don’t think she said one way or another. She kind of left it as 'art changes over time' which it does. Its so unfortunate the situation Britney was in but I do think if this was 2021, jokes like that wouldn't have been made. Its not the worst thing that has ever been said to a celebrity by another celebrity, and this was culturally a completely different time. Mocking kids is never okay, and this was a joke in bad taste. But should she apologise for it? I don’t think so. It's not that ruthless and honestly, worst things have been said on shows like RuPaul's Drag Race. The main people that should apologise is every single paparazzi and media outlet that played a hand in what happened back in 2007. Especially people like Perez Hilton who STILL has a career out of being nasty and toxic to celebrities. I'm looking at this retrospectively, I am all for free Britney End Racism Now
Cssomeone 1,646
Poor the United State of America, you love bragging about free speech, so enjoy it while you can cause pretty soon any comment or joke might be categorized as hate speech
ALGAYDO 32,658
I was expecting something very mean based on the comments, and then I clicked play. Her jokes were crude, distasteful and not that funny, but nothing terrible. It was a mini-roast, and nothing close to even “bullying” imo but I can see how, in hindsight, it was bad. Guest
Jesus christ people. Get a hobby instead of demanding people apologize for jokes they made 13 years ago for what they were asked to do.
