A mediocre male performer that gets overhyped by the public because he is sales obsessed.

Can’t say it was anything but generic

I got drunk

I thought it was a good show and I'm not even a fan. I think they should have kept quiet about the budget and shouldn't have hyped it up as something spectacular because that made everybody focus on that. If they'd said it was a scaled back show because of covid people would have been more understanding and accepted it as such but we're all questioning what the 7 million dollars was spent on.

I'm not the biggest The Weeknd fan but wow that was pretty amazing, probably the best male-led halftime show. :applause: Didn't actually realize he had that many classics already.

It was good but considering how much he hyped it with money talk and **** it is underwhelming.. I believe no one will remember it after few days. No impact whatsoever.. Also he definitely doesn’t have the stage presence that is necessarily for this kind of show unfortunately.

The national anthem performance was amazing.

The halftime show was not but still better than JT and Maroon 5.

So I have a question. Was that choir full of real people or were they dummies ? Because sometimes it looked like real people singing and some other times it looked like synchronized dummies.

Should have brought guests. He’s not an artist who fills the stage with just his presence, he’s just not that kinda boy

The fact we hold men and women performances with different standards annoys me so much. Men get applauded even for the minimum effort while woman have to vogue and spark/show their titties to be seen as entertaining.

I agree with this.

The Weeknd's whole characterization in this current era is a red jacket (and the whole beaten up gig, but the outfit remains the same).

He always shows up in a red jacket.

I don't mind tbh, but if a pop girl were to use the same dress, even if there's a spaced time between, she'd get criticized by it

No he’s not :rip:

Maybe a decade ago yeah, but he’s undeniably a full pop star now. His last three releases have all been pop.

yes but also no. my point stands that he isn't known for high fashion choreography. he's transitioned to pop lately, but it doesn't make him madonna :ladyhaha:
