I started to lose interest during the performance so I missed if he performed it. but side note I love me some Siouxsie. I regained interest at this point. but I thought the overall thing was good though. It's normal that a pop rock act sounds and look like that, it's just not as over the top as Gaga or MJ, but it's serving a more traditional/ singer thing and I think it's refreshing. Loved the Joan Jett and Milzy Cyrus part too.

RudraCNG 15,080
Well... Not bad but definitely not mindblowing or something like that. In fact, some parts were really boring.

SMILE2NE1 3,566
I am the biggest The Weeknd fan, listened to After Hours more than Chromatica... but there was something about the camera work and audio that felt so amateur. I also find it ironic that Jesse Collins (executive producer) shaded other artists in his interview - “It’s gotta be about entertainment from a truthful perspective. Get away from the massive sets, all the hoopla, the flying this and that. And get to the core of what makes an artist special.” It's interesting that this is Jesse's first year producing. Personally, I like Ricky's Kirshner work better who did it for the last 13 years.

Sneaky Oliver 22,217
As much as I am a fan, “an expensive nothing” was a good way to describe it. So underwhelming! The City-like stage was not innovative, he could have included huge fire for The Hills or have a special lightning for Blinding Lights... it needed THAT moment we gasp while we watch

Yeah, but they hardly have any big hits outside Asia, so.... They don't even have ONE big hit, and they would need atleat five big hits to do a SBHT. Guest
Hes such a great singer, has one of the best songs put out since late 10s, I feel it coming is incredible, it's insane, no other artists of our generation has a song that compares to this to me, but this was the least best Superbowl show ever, and Im very surprised he spent 7M on it. But he sang live, and he sang very well, great artist imo He also spoke about storytelling in the press conference and to me idk where it is. Kinda disappointing. I was really hoping for something massive and interesting but it's just like any other performance Why not start racing ur car and brake it then end up on the edge of a fake mountain or something and then decide to push the car down the ocean (create a cubicle with water in it idk like u spent millions u might as well, and all we see is a big splash and on the screens we see a woman (lookin like bella hadid) tied up drowning, the weeknd pushes a button and the car explodes) then the song starts as he walks away from the explosion, just create a big fire behind him. he also said he loved diana ross superbowl show why didnt he get inspired by it? why not at some point have police cars chasing after him as he runs away to then police handcuffin him and the mini surgical faces beatin the police up, freeing the weeknd as blinding lights plays, he couldve invited childish gambino to sing this is america real quick he said he would speak about BLM, why not then as Diana Ross did have childish gambino in a helicopter, put it down on the floor and help the weeknd up to escape the popo and then they leave in the helicopter together U know im just messing with it and using ideas that maybe dont make sense but it has a story and couldve looked big and grandiose, he spent 7M on a mundane show, there couldve been so much creativity and ideas put into this show with the persona he created in his music videos and the themes of his song. Such a waste
