Honestly, weekend's voice is freaking divine.

Show aspect in terms of staging or choreos was nothing special for me but he makes up with his voice. He's just that gifted.

Edit: This is despite sound engineers doing him dirty by keeping the volume of his vocals too low.

Did anyone understood what the stage set with the houses were supposed to convey/portray as? Was there a meaning?

Ironic and underwhelming, even under Covid19

After seeing what his producer said about "getting to the core of what makes an artist special," I expected much but felt really disappointed to watch his halftime show...... He's a great singer (amazing voice!)  but this is one of the worst in recent years. Justin Timberlake's is even better and worth a rewatch.  Everything prior to Blinding Lights looks like a VMAs or iheart radio show (like Katy Perry's CTTC one.)  It's boring and flat even with Covid rules.

His producer shades others and their kind of "huge-spectacle" performances so I thought his gonna be very different. But lol, those fireworks and huge sets are no different than other performers.  "He sang live!"......other performers did the same too, some even singing while dancing. The shade looks like a complete joke now.

I like the opening and the part he went into the backstage. I admire his vocals, too. But this VMAs-level show really lack the passion a half-time show demands.

Debatable :laughga:

I didn't even watch this one and I can already say it's better than JT's :flop:

They should just have females do the halftime show though :gayhat: Other than Michael (my king ), Diana Ross, Shakira, Britney, Janet, Beyonce, Katy, and Gaga are the only people who've been remotely interesting on that stage imho.

These rock bands and solo pop guys are always dull, predictable, and easily skippable.

You're stinky

Meh. He sounded good, but the audio sucked and it was also super boring. Nothing special imo.

I have no clue why he didn't just start singing when he was in the car. It just felt really abrupt that he sat there, showed off this amazing set only to move onto the main stage a few seconds later?

Also I'm not sure if it's the dodgy audio but a lot of his songs don't really translate to a stadium setting? idk

I subconsciously view him as a new artist because I didn't become aware of him until Blinding Lights and only found out the other day that he's been around for years :toofunny:

He did great for a new artist! :neyde:
