We can't just unilaterally jump out of conflicts, we need an exit strategy and to be doing that strategy before we start leaving. If we telegraph our imminent departure, it's dangerous to those currently stationed overseas. Not to mention if we have any undercover operations, we have to see to it that they are all out safely before leaving, and that could take months alone. This ^ I’m all for ending the wars 100% but we can’t just pack up and leave overnight. It would create a massive power vacuum and cause a humanitarian crisis in countries/areas were protecting.
