Marilyn Manson Dropped by Record Label, CAA, ‘American Gods’, ‘Creepshow’

In the wake of Evan Rachel Wood’s announcement that Marilyn Manson “horrifically abused”, Loma Vista Recordings, which released Manson’s latest album, has parted ways with the singer.

“In light of today’s disturbing allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and other women naming Marilyn Manson as their abuser, Loma Vista will cease to further promote his current album, effective immediately,”
“Due to these concerning developments, we have also decided not to work with Marilyn Manson on any future projects.”

Manson has released 3 albums through the label, including last year’s, “We Are Chaos.” His artist page disappeared from the label’s website on Monday afternoon, several hours after Wood’s statement.

CAA has dropped Marilyn Manson as a client.

The news comes after the singer and actor was dropped by his music label, and his performances in upcoming episodes of Starz’s American Gods and Shudder’s Creepshow would be scrubbed.

Really unfortunate. I don’t really know what to think of him anymore as someone who’s been s*xually assaulted. I’m torn because with the recent rise of cases like the Johnny Depp case, I’m skeptical about these kinds of accusations which is unfortunate as well. I wish I could just believe people right off the bat like I used to be able to, but I don’t. I need some more substantial anecdotes and maybe some proof. It feels like there should be texts of this abuse somewhere no?

This been known for a long time but the girls were silenced/too afraid to reveal his name. Yet people still knew it was him. Now they've finally named him and he's getting what he deserves. It's not just one woman who has a dubious claim, it's tons of women with similar stories about the same man. Believe them instead of trying to advocate for the abuser -

One would think. But you know, cancel culture and such.

Please don't twist anything i put here and say I am defending MM. If he did do it then he should absolutely be held accountable for his actions and punished accordingly.

i'm not defending him at all, but I still think should go before a court of law before anyone pretends like they know 100% what he did. i'm sure the women aren't lying, but the nature of allegations is that they're unproven, and i wanna stand by that

i think its similar but obv on a smaller scale to someone like weinstein where it was known without people being able to outright say it. also its not just one allegation, it's several from various different women.

edit: also his personal assistant backed it up, outright saying that he saw abuse taking place.
