Wanting to know if her album era has ended (after telling us she had lots of surprises to share) is not a lot to ask for (I just want to say I’m not trying to start an argument. This is just how I see it) I’m pretty sure other things, or even other pop stars, can keep someone entertained when they’re searching for meaning or escape stress. But it is UNHEALTHY and dangerous to base this much of your identity and happiness on a celebrity. Many gays recall how Born This Way saved their lives and helped them through dark times. BTW was the moment. But there won’t ever be another BTW from Gaga that speaks to millions of disenfranchised gay kids like the one we had. It’s time to stop looking to her as some kind of beacon or savior. It is unhealthy for both the admirer and the admired. Look for enjoyment elsewhere if all you’re getting from Gaga is non-event and disappointment. Follow another artist. And dare I say, get another hobby. What do you think tv shows/ anime fans do while waiting for another season to film? They watch something else. The sooner these obsessive fans realize that their faves have a life and don’t own them anything, and are not responsible for their well-being, the more their mental health will benefit from it. GagaSine 7,464
I respect her not posting and just living her private life as she wants, I just wish we had some kind of closure for the era. Because Gaga “surprised” us so often in the past I feel like LMs are always waiting for the next surprise. I know some people might get upset but at this point a statement like “Hey I am not feeling Chromatica anymore and trying to promote during a pandemic has been hard on me, the era is over” or “I’m taking an extended break so Chromatica is on indefinite hold” would be great for the majority of her fan base. People would stop harassing and trolling her co creators for more Chromatica content. She doesn’t have to be specific or open, I don’t need to know what exactly is going on, just a realistic timeline or some closure. Part of the fun of being an LM for me was seeing what she was doing every day and the speculation about upcoming work/releases, and that is severely lacking. Of course it’s not the end of the world and there are plenty of other artists doing things but it’s never as special as Gaga, y’know? So I think what this fan base needs is some closure instead of this “it’s over”/“it’s just beginning” push and pull, which is not helped by her team saying stuff like “the era has launched” during the VMAs and “the journey continues” about effin’ Oreos. She doesn’t owe anyone anything, and her own well being and happiness are the highest priority. But closure would be great for me.

Gaga's already mentally fragile, adding this burden of having to carry her fans' is too much to handle. I honestly think your reasoning is really wrong and feels a bit like blackmail, as is her not tweeting or interacting with us causes and aggravates your mental health problems. If you have mental health problems, you should seek professional help or talk about it, waiting for a tweet won't do anything, especially if it comes at the expense of Gaga's own mental health. SwissMonster 29,120
First of all, she did wish us happy holidays Second, she doesn‘t have to post on social media to prove that she is affected by Sophies death Maybe she became more distant cause she realized that the relationship can turn toxic pretty fast. We know how the fanbase likes to act these days and this is the result of this relationship. Expectations rise with the relationship. Maybe it was just too much pressure for her, we don‘t know and its not our business to find out If I can stan/be a fan of her at this time and place then everyone can. Not meant as shade but maybe you have to change/evolve and not hold onto something that is from the past. Its like every relationship and its also what keeps it alive, no matter if you keep in touch every day or once in a year. From singing Perfrct Illusion in bars 2016 to Joanne at grammys 2018 Very short. You're talking 2016-2018 like it was three full years. Perfect Illusion was released on September 2016 and the Grammys 2018th was on the 29th January. That's 1 year and 4 months. Yeah it's nice for an era but not 3 years. I agree with you both. I know that Gaga owes us nothing. Im just trying to explain how some fans feel and they can’t help that if it’s down to mental health. So it can’t be easy on them. It’s okay to suggest other artists/ hobbies etc. However, it is easier said than done. I have been in that situation many times, where it just feels as though everything and everyone in the world is constantly against you. When the things that you love most are not making you happy. it’s difficult to step out of that mindset. I think that monsters need to give Gaga more respect, but I also feel that they should respect how one another feels.
Bolkins 4,125
I think the elephant in the room when it comes to the whole ‘little monsters’/‘mother monster’ stuff is that it was an incredibly successful PR move. One that took a life of its own and became so uncontrollable that she had to back off and never speak of it again. It’s maybe a bitter pill to swallow because what happened was very real, but it was ultimately fulled to get her to become the biggest artist in the world, not for her to become the next Jesus or whatever people expected of her. Not the bore worms!

Guest
Shes 34 years old, started her career very young, achieved many things musically and now starting an acting career. Suffers from a chronic illness that is not easy to manage mentally and physically, in five foot two we could get an idea of her depression and her wanting to have a better personal life, now you see her finding what seems to be a decent man (from afar), that she seems happy with, then a pandemic started right when she started an album, she helped people with her power and money yes instead of making collabs and producing music videos or doing virtual concerts and whatnot, then she lost money, so she collabed with random brands to make enough since her tour is not a sure thing right now and we all know artists make the most money out of tours. please give it some slack, who cares, she gave it her all in her 20s, she's suffering from an illness, she gives back with the power she has in any way she can, who cares that she seems colder now? do u care? i don't care, I love Gaga for her artistry Im not gonna be mad she's not super bubbly in interviews, I dont care, and Im not gonna be mad if she's making money with different brands, I dont care, what I care about is her music, and she did her best in 2020, Im not surprised Im not mad about it, if this was all she could do, then so be it. Many other artists tried their best as well.

Being happy and positive on the outside while feeling tortured on the inside. No way her personality would be the same, she could very well be hanging on by a thread a lot of the time. Many thought she was on cloud 9 happy during then ASIB time period. Hit movie, song, critical acclaim, awards. Then it comes out that she's been suffering from depression and has to be coaxed to do much of anything. Then a lot of "fans" pretend to feel sorry for her, saying they didn't know. You just didn't care. All you wanted was to be entertained. Exactly, they pretend to care about her as long as she gives them something to "yaaas queen" or fingerwave over it's disgustingly self-centered.
