I swear some of you want to make a drama over everything. We just saw her kill it at the inauguration, one of the biggest events of her career. She was clearly thrilled to be there. We saw her yapping away with the Obama's. Hillary, JLo etc. We saw her happy and supported by her man. She's healthy and thriving. 

Yet you wanna act like there's something wrong with her because she's honoring her contracts and making bank 

Why are her stans so angsty all of the time? No wonder she removed herself from the negativity for the most part.

You have to admit that it can be a little confusing when someone who has been known for years as one of the most musically-passionate people in pop and has asserted herself time and time again as someone who enjoys performing, cuts off essentially all contact with her fans that isn’t a paid promotion and doesn’t discuss something (music) that she claims to love dearly.

I’m not saying she’s obligated to do anything. But at least meet in the middle and agree that it’s strange that she is actually making it a point to not promote the album. I mean...we’re talking something as simple as a piano, a mic and a phone to livestream an acoustic sit-down performance. It could be done in her own house. She wouldn’t even have to perform songs she hasn’t sang live before, so it’s not like she’d be spoiling the tour or anything. Which, to be fair, we’re also completely in the dark about, but that isn’t her fault.

I think it’s become clear that she has spent more time actively deciding that she’s not going to do anything, no matter how small, for the album at this point. And while that’s absolutely her choice to make, I don’t think anyone can be faulted for reacting to someone who spent years vehemently convincing everyone how much she loves her fans and music, not the bling, and then entirely abandoning both without explanation while simultaneously taking on more financially lucrative deals and promotions.

"abandoning" 😂 God, y'all love to be dramatic. No i don't think it's weird. She had a big roll out planned. Literally the day her album came out a race war broke out... She couldn't even do a twitter listening party. Covid made everything X 100 times more difficult. She still managed 3 full scale music videos. She did the VMAs. Promoting music just wasn't a priority for her in 2020. You have zero idea of what goes on behind the scenes. Or in her personal life. Did you know her grandmother has cancer, and is going for treatment? Did you know a close relative of Michael's passed last year?  Gaga isn't a kid any more, she has other priorities. She isn't your mom. She's not responsible for your life's happiness. Y'all keep using a lyric she wrote when she was like 20 "love the music, not the bling" to prove some kind of point... It makes me cringe every time. You don't seem to understand the business side of the industry. And Lady Gaga is an industry. We all built her up to be one. She takes on sponsorships for many reasons, but I just want to point something out. She deserves to get paid to put her name on partnerships. She's a self made woman who deserves to be compensated for her labor. Just like all of us. These are contracts made well in advance and she is honoring them. They were likely going towards funding the chromatica Ball. And just because it was cancelled, it doesn't mean she can cop out. 

Its been said time and time again, twitter does not make Gaga feel welcome. She has the worst stans on there. Why on earth would she engage with these trolls? Gaga has grown up, she does things her way. She doesn't have to hustle any more than she wants to. She's put out an album, 3 music videos, a podcast discussing it, gaga visions, 3 magazine covers, the VMAs. Yet you act like she dropped the album and ran. There is a tour planned, we don't know if it will go ahead. 

I honestly think Gaga would prefers you guys to enjoy the music and stop fretting over everything else. She's not going to react to the tantrums so it's a waste of time. If you want constant promo during a pandemic you have Dua Lipa. Gaga is at a different stage in her career.

I think you're making a lot of assumptions about who I am and how I feel about Gaga. It's hard to respond to and confront this message because I have to dismantle said assumptions first, and I don't know if it's worth the time or effort unless you're open to not seeing me as a crazed stan. I also wasn't just using the one 'music not the bling' lyric as ultimate proof. It's merely the most memorable way of phrasing the way she presented herself back then. She's done plenty of interviews where she addresses her dedication to music and how she feels about money. I don't believe she doesn't deserve these things. She's worked very hard for them.

OK tbh I'm not really bothered discussing it further. No matter what we say, Gaga will do her thing. I'm glad she is in a good place. I just wish her fans were more respectful in general and didn't use her as a punching bag for clout. The MLK thing was a prime example of her stans embarrassing her. And I know they don't represent all of them. They are just the loudest ones. I saw a great tweet recently that went something like "this is why I don't pay attention to Stan twitter's opinion on Gaga, when you step outside that echo chamber you see how respected and revered she is by the GP and her peers"
