Mass riots (again) in The Netherlands

Police and military police are gathering in front of my apartment again, it's expected there will be riots again tonight. 
I'm so f*cking over this.

Do I agree with this? No.

But pandemic fatigue is a thing, especially when people don’t see an  end to anything, and they slowly see everyone around them losing their jobs and their money. People are starting to question themselves. They ask themselves if a small percentage of the population dying is worth the ruining of lives of a great percentage.

Obviously many see it that way because they haven’t experienced what this virus can do to first-hand, especially to whole families.

I just spect for these type of protests to grow and grow. And there won’t only be stupid people who want to party, but average people who have been let down by their government and leaders. 

Also the fact that vaccination is extremely slow and ridiculous in western Europe. It’s just shameful.... However, I doubt the people in these protests would consider getting vaccinated tbh lmao

Yes indeed this. The worst part of it all is that our government also stupidly decided to follow other countries in lengthening the time between the two vaccinations needed to make a vaccine actually work like it was made to work and like it was researched.

 

Instead of the advised 3 weeks (advised and researched as such by the freaking DEVELOPER of the vaccine and much said by virologists) they now lengthen this period to 6 weeks. All because there is shortage of vaccine dosages. So they decided themselves to just lengthen the period in between vaccinations just so they can vaccinate more people with the first jab. It's been advised against multiple times by the developers and virologists. But the government here seems to know better.

 

They keep selling us that vaccination is the only way out of this mess and what do they do? Ruin the ONLY solution to their own plan by using the vaccines in this lunatic way! Meanwhile they keep upping the restrictions without any clear end date, people are loosing their jobs and their businesses, and the government actually expect us to take this seriously anymore and just obey? I'm ****ing done with it. With the way they are handling the vaccination what's the point? And even IF they did the vaccination right and even IF they would actually pick up the pace with the vaccination (which is terribly slow), by the research they can only say that the vaccine is certain to work for 3 months. What's 3 months? We've been in this mess for almost a year now...

 

I say just let the virus go it's way. Yes a percentage of people will die and it will be hell for a while. But after that the survivors can finally move on instead of ruining the whole economy more and more day by day, resulting in a giant recession for all generations to come. It's getting more and more to the point I feel like the benefits from doing all of this are increasingly not weighing up to the huge downsides of it all.
