Researchers in the Province of Quebec have found, studied and comfirmed a drug that is very effective at treating and minimizing many covid-19 complications that result in hospitalizations or worse case scenario death

 

Best of all the drug is old and widely available and accessible as it has been used for a long time to treat other stuff. It is called colchicine

 

In the study the drug was found to reduce hospitalizations by 25%, ventilator requirement cases by 50% and deaths by 44%

Kind of. From my understanding i dont think it kills the virus itself off faster but controls complications of it very well so ur chances of gettinf seriously ill from covid is reduced

Colchicine is the 2nd line treatment for gout. Very interesting article and if you look at the study itself it does look promising. Does not cure Covid but seems like a good option to prevent/reduce complications from the virus!

What interests me most about this, is the idea that a medication that can fight the virus presents an isolated set of variables that can help narrow down exactly what helps against the virus. If this medication has a certain component that separates it from medications that don’t work against COVID, it can be analyzed in more detail and give greater hints as to the best possible cocktail to combat the virus.
