“IF Scotland votes for pro-independenceparties at the next election, there will be a referendum – even if Boris Johnson says no.

In a new plan for indyref2 – revealed exclusively by The National today – the SNPare set to tell the Prime Minister that he’ll need to take legal action if he wants to stop Scots voters having their say on the constitution.

The proposal comes ahead of the SNP’s virtual National Assembly on Sunday, where members will meet to discuss “the tactics and strategy on the route from here to independence day”.”

Hopefully Scotland will get the second independence referendum. I'm an English Labour member and it irritates me that the party won't offer another referendum. Although I'm undecided myself on Scottish independence, as I haven't read that much into it, I do support another referendum.

Thanks for your support, as I’ve said to some unionist I would never of supported another referendum if the Brexit vote went the other way but since we’ve been dragged my stance is get back into the EU now

That's my take too. When you had the referendum in 2014 it was also on the basis that Scotland would remain in the EU. However, thanks to Tory's and the 2015 general election, then the subsequent EU referendum, Scotland has been forced to leave the EU even though nearly 2/3 of the country supported remaining, along with every council area voting to remain.

I doubt it will go anywhere. She is popular and has high marks for handling COVID-19, but there's no political support outside of SNP

They are the Green Party  and 40% of Labour voters. I say Independence support is around 60%

They seem to do something terrible, like not feeding vulnerable school children, then the polls will say CON +4. It's so ridiculous. 11 years of the Tory's governing, with another 3 years to go and they will still continue to blame Labour and the SNP and every other party for the UK's problems.

Yeah definitely, the tories don’t seem to think they are doing a bad job. That is what is worrying. Don’t know if you ever watch PMQs, any criticism of the Government by Labour and the SNP as shooed away as “not acting in the nations interest”, nothing shy of calling Starmer a traitor

Sure, but Keir Starmer and Boris Johnson are opposed, surely you agree that it complicates things.

Essentially, their opinions don’t matter. It’s up to the Scottish voters and the Scottish voters only.
