I've heard similar stories from other cisgender women too. I mean, are they going to start checking people's genitals before they're allowed in the restroom or changing room? That's much more invasive. I'm more terrified of cisgender men policing women's bathrooms than I am of transwomen using them (but to clarify, I'm not at all scared of sharing these spaces with transwomen, who are extremely vulnerable to begin with).
