Biden officially took his oath of office following Vice President Kamala Harris. Harris was sworn into office as the first Black-American and South Asian-American woman to serve in the role. The presidential inauguration featured performances from Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez, as well as remarks from Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar. "This is America's Day, this is democracy's day. A day of history and hope, of renewal and resolve," Biden said in his first remarks as president.
