Not because he was a good president (Lord knows that's not the case), but because he helped bring out all the evil and hatred that had been brewing beneath the surface for years so that we could finally recognize it and put an end to it. Before Trump people didn't want to hear about racism, fascism or white supremacy. But it was there, and now we can't run away from it, we have to work to change things. So in that respect, I think there's a reason why America needed a president like Trump, so that real change could take place. Like putting cat litter all over your floor to clean up some vomit. But yeah, that byproduct is a lovely way of looking at it, but because of his blatant lies and antics, we have millions of people who are basically radicalized and otherwise wouldn't have been. I thought he wouldn't deign to!" Made me laugh a bit. And contrary to what the papers were claiming, Melania did not seem sad that it was all coming to end, she was beaming and even holding his hand for the first time. The face of a woman who knows she doesn't need to keep pretending anymore and can start divorce proceedings soon. Any analysis on that outfit she wore when exiting the plane? Because it was definitely saying something, even if it was just "no more playing at being Jackie O now, nothing but kaftans from here on out!" I think the flat shoes surprised me even more.
