Spending your whole life in prison is hardly a "slap in the wrist" nevermind a "life of luxury". The vote is a piece of paper that's also the civic duty of every citizen. The prisoner is also under the influence of the POTUS, in this case, so they should have the right to choose him.

It is here in Britain, they get a lot of luxuries when those people who died are rotten in the ground. They really don’t deserve sh*t

I'm sorry but those are people too. We are in times of peace and there's no underlaying reason for them to deserve that kind of treatment. Not only it is unsustainable in the long run, it would also give power to the prisoners since their resentment will surely grow.

They were people until they murdered, raped someone. They never treated the person they killed with respect why do they deserve decency?
