200 Puerto Rican soldiers traveled to Washington D.C. to protect the President (for whom they could not vote)

 "El Nuevo Día", reported that over 200 members of the Puerto Rico National Guard will attend the inauguration of the president-elect of the United States, Joe Biden, in the federal Capitol, in Washington DC , to be part of the security deployment that prevails in the compound after the insurrection that arose last week by mobs that follow Donald Trump.

The general of Puerto Rico, José J. Reyes, reported that the soldiers are part of the 92nd Brigade of the Military Police of the National Guard. As reported, the number of National Guard troops in the event, corresponding to different states and territories, could exceed 20,000.
