Recalls are really not that uncommon tho. Every so often a big company discovers a defect that only became aparent after many cars were already produced and sold and they have to recall that model

Yeah, a company has the right to do it, and it is better for the client if they recall it, but taking into account Tesla's perceived value, you would think things like these never happen.

But with that value you would think this is a company that has every milimeter of its operation under control, that's what I mean. It doesn't happen because the real value just isn't as high, nowhere near that

Thing is no matter how well funded a company is or how many resources are at its disposal the engineers and scientists and everyone else involved is still human and something being missed is just always possible especially with tight deadlines, stress and pushing boundries on new complicated technology

 

My company controlls things a lot too, like they whatch everything from headquarters. Doesnt prevent workers from screwing up sometimes

 

Of course a tesla is a totally different level of scope and proffessionalism but i think the same principal still applies

 

Humans are not perfect which means even the wealthiest most well funded and well run company in the world (whoever that is) is not infalable

Yes I do agree 100%, but the relation between perceived and actual value in Tesla does give me the chance to also consider fictional scenarios such as this one.
