Canada's most populated Province has partially followed in the footsteps of Quebec by also starting its own curfew (tho it is calling it a stay at home order) that begins with increased restrictions at 8pm include ng businesses that must close even for curbside pickup

 

New measures were put in place after the Province declared a state of emergency

 

People will face fines if outside for any reason besides work or grocery shopping

 

The Province so far is also not ending the lockdown as Hospitals are at full capacity and experts are warning the Province in some regions is getting close to that point where doctors have to start making decisions on who gets treatment and who dies

Oops I was reading Quebec's article while I posted the link for Ontario's changes. In Ontario it's a stay at home order not full on curfew. Gonna edit that

Too little too late, but better than nothing  

The thing that irks me is that again, it's not a true stay-at-home order. The same goes for Quebec's curfew, there's all sorts of exceptions, plus schools are open during the day and all that jazz. These half-measures have pretty much been proven by now to not be sufficient as a circuit breaker. The countries that have had the most success so far go hard and early, while we're always on slow burner, so... I don't know.

Well in my opinion hour restrictions make it worse. It's forces a greater number of ppl to do the stuff at an earlier hour at once

 

Either lock stuff down or don't. Don't hour restrict, I find that counter productive tbh

 

I don't get curb side pick up hour restrictions. What difference does it make what hour it is? And again fewer hours of operation just means more ppl at once

I agree, the curfew and all the half-assed measures are not going to help. But people are still complaining about living in a dictatorship and having their freedom taken away, even though our government has been very lenient so far. People just want to be able to go shopping and to the restaurant 

We need a full-on lockdown, period.

Tbh. All ppl do is complain complain and complain and don't use common sense with hygiene and social distance

 

Like if anything the government has been too lenient.

 

Bitches gotta start washing their hands, wearing masks (and properly, masks worn poorly is an underappreciated problem tbh) and staying at home and stop partying

 

All my coworkers this Christmas and New year bluntly admiting they were having parties and stuff. Then ppl wonder why stuff still isn't under control

This changes absolutely nothing for me bc I work at a restaurant  annoying, i’m so tired of the Government doing the bare minimum and people not even following the most lax guidelines.

It's exhausting. The Government keeps doing pointless things just to make it look like they are doing something and are not doing what needs to be done

 

And the ppl aren't helping either because even when the government gets a little stricter ain't nobody ever following the rules

 

And then people DIE!!!

 

For everyone that just couldn't resist those Christmas and New year's parties (literally 3/4 of my coworkers)... Shame on yall. To think those "freedoms" are more important than the thousands of people that are dying

Unfortunately the time to do this was over a month ago. It’s baked in. Let’s just hope our healthcare system can hold out until Spring. It’s looking very bad here.
