It's literally the most reputable news source in the entire country for anything business or politics It's exceptionally rare that they get something wrong. It can happen but it's very rare. And if they aren't certain about something they will usually use wordings like "according to some sources" or "reports are saying" If they are presenting it was factual news I presume they must have some kind of reliable source. Government officials shouldn't be above censure by independent parties if they're spewing misinformation and inciting violence. In this case however, not only was Trump in direct breach of Twitter's code of conduct, he was going beyond Super Saiyan megalomaniac mob-enticing tyrant. Presidents shouldn't be held to lower standards than the population as a whole. Actions have consequences, and these consequences would have been the same for any normal individual actively promoting disinformation like he has (and enforced much sooner). Twitter looked away for a long time precisely because they knew blocking him was an explosive situation in the making. If they followed through this time, it's because action was required. dit 46,738 Posted January 12, 2021 Share Posted January 12, 2021 Europe is obsessed with the concept of Freedom of Speech (which is beautiful) but it is to the point that they sometimes forget that speech can be as dangerous as a gun and that not everyone deserves that freedom..for some it must be a treated as a privilege. Trump incited an attempted coup d'etat and riled up his fans to hurt people in the government. That is terrorism. Terrorism is politically or ideologically motivated and what we saw happen killed 5 lives and was highly politically motivated.
