Facebook has taken down a network in Uganda linked to the country’s ministry of information for using fake and duplicate accounts to post ahead of this week’s presidential election, the U.S. social media giant said on Monday.

Ugandans vote on Thursday in a election pitting long-time (35 years in power) leader Yoweri Museveni against 10 candidates including opposition frontrunner Bobi Wine, a singer-turned-lawmaker whose star power has rattled the ruling party.

A bit late to be doing this now after months, if not years, of permitting the spread of misinformation. Facebook found the accounts needed to close quick enough so no doubt they knew all along what the deal was

yeah this, they got shook with everyone banning trump so they're trying to look good now but they never cared aslong as it brought them users, clicks and interaction
