‧ Trump supporters boarded American Airlines flight 1242 on Friday afternoon.
‧ Flight took off from Reagan National in Washington, DC, for Phoenix Sky Harbor 
‧ During flight, some of the passengers started chanting 'USA! USA! USA!' 
‧ Pilot told passengers that he would divert plane to Kansas  ‘We will do that if that's what it takes, so behave, please,’ 
 

‧American Airlines said some of the passengers refused to wear face coverings 
‧Flight departed on time, landed in Phoenix ahead of schedule without incident

I think it would have been fitting to cancel plenty of flights. These people have been around mask less crowds within the last few days and are putting airport and airline staff at risk for exposure.

I would normally say I'm happy I don't live in the US, but we have Trump/QAnon supporters in Canada now, even here in freaking Quebec. Before 2020 you would never hear anyone say they supported Trump, but with the pandemic they've all started coming out of the woodwork with their conspiracy bs, just last summer I went to the restaurant with a friend and we were sitting next to a old dude with a MAGA hat. In Quebec. Like... The fact that Trump has this much power and reach is just scary to me. Can't wait for all of this to be over.

Americans are insane. I hate President Trump as much as anyone else, but literally throwing people off planes for supporting him or for chanting "USA" is moronic. Do we even know how long they were chanting? Was it 2 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour? 

The airline is perfectly within their right to throw passengers off, and I support that, but that doesn't mean that their decisions can't be dumb.
