1) Then I suppose America's view on race is different, after all a lot of them don't think European's are white. But I have never seen Latinas being refered to as caucasian.

Latina is not an race. There are black Latin people, indigenous Latin people, white Latin people etc., point is even if she has mixed raced heritage she is very very white passing.

And it’s not unnecessary, it’s a pattern. When white women are called to accountable they use their whiteness as a Defense and try to portray themselves as ‘just an innocent little girl’, as opposed to the adult human being they are. This is a pattern that has been repeated for hundreds of years, in the past because women were seen as less than men and then also because of racism (see the case of Emmett Till), a white adult women has to be “protected” from people of colour, even if she’s a perpetrator, even if they were actual minors and she was not. Black minors are treated and seen as adults all the time, more than white people are so it’s especially disgusting that she is trying to make herself seem more child like. That’s why race is relevant to the title. It’s calling out a problem that exists in our society and has existed in our society for a long time.

Adult white women get treated as children (and expect to be, using this to their Defense) and black children get treated as adults (Trayvon Martin and countless others).

I think it doesn’t help that stuff like the US census has ‘latino’ listed as a race option but it’s literally because the US hates Mexicans/any Spanish speaking minority that are not from Europe, that’s why they are grouped as separate from “white”.

I think what you are trying to say is that latina/latino isn't a race, but it is an ethnicity.
