Gaga & her exes

These are mostly just random thoughts about my internet ~journey~. Posting in case anyone else is awake and bored. 

So, I went down a Bad Girls Club spiral on the internet last night, and then remembered Dani's video about Taylor Kinney (that she has since taken down). Decided to check in on her vids, and she mentions Gaga and Taylor in her hot topics/E! News thing (D! News ) where she talks about celeb gossip. Most notably, she talks about Gaga's performance in Pennsylvania for Biden in November, the performance where she mentioned Taylor before performing You & I, and apologized to Michael for doing so. Dani then mentions that from what she remembers, Taylor and Gaga do still talk (she implores Gaga to stop calling him so he can heal etc., LMAO).

The whole thing could be BS. If it's not, then I'm side-eyeing her. As an outsider, Harvard educated Michael, his long eyelashes, $$$$$ and career independent of her >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Taylor (a known womanizer). For successful women, it's often hard to find a man who isn't a womanizer (who feels threatened by success) and/or not a complete leech. I'd hold on to Michael if I was her. 

And then I was like, 'I wonder what my fave of her exes, "Dada" is up to?' I was curious about how his Givenchy lewks were recieved, so I stopped by the always messy, always rude thefashionspot forums to see what the reaction was. And there were plenty of draggings ... but more interestingly, there was tea that Matthew & his wife got divorced in early 2020, and she got pregnant by Blondey McCoy (a 24-year old skateboarder and artist), and she gave birth to their child in September last year.  Mess.

Also, on a different note, Matthew also posed nude for Purple magazine (did I miss this on GGD that day? If not, how did this escape y'all's notice?)

Anyhow, I then read this article from 2019 about him & his label. It mentions that he & his wife were no longer together, and he had this to say about Gaga:

Girl....why is she entertaining Kinney when she could be staying in touch with the more interesting of her exes, especially when he clearly would like to reconnect? They were such a team, not even necessarily talking romantically either, like they genuinally seemed to feed off of each other and collaborate to great results. I've seen his work for Givenchy, and it's ok, it's well constructed and you can tell thought was put into it, but it's just...there, and not cohesive. Feels boring. Even attempts at fun and unique-ness like the Scooby Doo-like shoes and socks don't hit right. And Gaga does ok (911 video was good, as was the cool electronic mask at the VMAs), but I often feel like costumes and setups at Enigma were not her best. They can do ok alone, and have done ok without each other (I hate when people attribute everything to him), but I feel like they're each others missing piece in a creative sense. 

Tho, maybe he is a trash bag, and we just don't know it. Or it ended badly. Guess we'll never know.

Anyway, that is my update on two of Gaga's exes (& how they are still sprung on her).

I don't think it's traditional jealousy, but I get the sense he doesn't want to forever be "Gaga & Kanye's creative director, Mathew Williams." I think he said something to the effect of not wanting his creativity to always be tied to others. Maybe he needed to go establish himself on his own (as he has done with his label and Givenchy), but that is just my take.

Coco is a stuffed monkey Gaga & Taylor use to share. According to Dani, he still keeps it on his bed & got mad when she knocked it on the floor.

Matt was the 🐐 when it came to Gaga’s creative directors. Out of all the people she’s worked with, including musicians and actors, the work she did with him probably had the most profound effect on her career. I don’t think he resented it, I think he wanted it for her or else he wouldn’t done the work he had. From what I understand him and Gaga were a thing and then broke up, he then he ended up marrying and having a kid. Bad Romance was written about their relationship so maybe they had an affair or Gaga wanted him to give up family life for her, either way something messy happened hence the song.
