Not y’all voting for Americano :billie: no wonder y’all have some out of this world “what song should be the new single?” opinions.

Don't you know the difference between a good song and a good single? :huntyga:

There’s actually no difference. A good song is a good singe and Americano is not it

Americano/I wanna dance glee mash up. I think we had this exact poll before, and I think I posted this exact same answer. Unless I’m in a time loop!

You just proved yourself wrong though:fan:

Let's release any good Gaga song right now and let's see how it does :giggle:Monster, maybe?

And tbh I'd personally take Americano over Born This Way (song) and all of Chromatica, but that's just a matter of taste

I didn’t. Monster would smash in 2010 along with all her good songs (in their period of release).

Americano by far.. Starstruck is extremely basic and repetitive, the feature doesn't help it in any way either..

I personally don't think it would've done well but there's obviously no way we can know, but timing is really important when you release singles so the fact that you think Monster wouldn't work today is an indicator that there's something's wrong in the “any good song is a good single”, otherwise we wouldn't have the messy “what should the next single be?” everytime Gaga releases an album

That being said, you can totally dislike a song (here, Americano), no one's right or wrong it's all subjective

I love his verse, but it was definitely not Gaga's choice to have him, and Interscope probably didn't expect Gaga to become that big so quickly, so it was supposed to help her

Now that I think about it, it feels super weird to think that Gaga has a collab with Flo Rida:air:

Americano cause it literally made my whole body bounce the first time I heard it... It was one of my favs at the first listen of BTW... For the whole story, I was still in bed, with my boyfriend when we heard it... We both went hysterical on the bed, like two epileptic Lazarus just waking up from the dead straight to the party.

But Starstruck has that brutal synth wave before synth wave feel in it, and I think it's a totally underrated song too. Like a lot of her songs. Her legacy needs a bit of history to stand out. And that's some genius level type of problem.

I really like both songs a lot, but "AMericano" has always been one of my fav songs... it´s really "different" and a lot of people don´t like it that much... but I think it´s brilliant. I really love the "spanish or mexican" feeling to it... Dance Mexico GIF

Americano is one of her most experimental and original songs, and at the same time it is highly underrated :fatcat:

I lowkey agree with this however I think ti suffers the same fate as the final chorus of Poker Face: it never seems to end and it repeats a little too much. I feel if a bit was cut out or even shortened it could've been a lot better.
