I think what's most terrifying is that guys like this don't truly believe they're even doing something illegal. He thought he was doing the right thing. Like, what? The brainwashing has gone SO far; these guys are so steeped in privilege and propaganda they've lots sight of the simple essence of what is right and what is wrong.

Its scary to be honest. To an extent, I understand how specific groups of people would align their "values" with Trump but the extent that they go is horrifying and the fact that it reaches people in power like this state rep is disgusting. Its not about democratic versus republican anymore (arguably never was tbh) its about a huge cult causing mayhem
