but like.... the awards are voted on by the members of the academy? it's not like a jury i mean. and there are thousands of members. yes obviously movies are made specifically to appeal (it's called Oscar Bait) but that doesn't mean it's always successful.

because there's usually only 2 awards given to actresses every year (best actress and best supporting actress). Katharine Hepburn (an actress) has 4 but the most won by a woman is 8 (costume designer Edith Head). right now there are 24 categories in total so they're pretty rare to win. usually the only people that can win multiple awards in a night are someone like a director who is also a producer of the film (could win best picture and director) or also the screenwriter, it's also happened a couple times an actor also directed or wrote. but it's still not very common. at the Grammys there are dozens of categories (there were 84 in 2018) and it's easy to be eligible in many at once especially for albums and songs simultaneously.

Very few have multiple acting awards, but Walt Disney won 22 in his career, so Gaga with all of her talents in her WHOLE LIFE (as in.. we have experienced 12/50+ years...) I think she can achieve 5 and in fact in different categories

2 at most. I mean, Meryl Streep has 3, and I don’t see Gaga reaching that level.

But I do think she might get 4+ nominations.

To get an Oscar alone is difficult so let’s just take a hot sec to acknowledge what Gaga has achieved! 

However due to her versatility, I predict Gaga at max 3 wins perhaps... 

One for original song which she already has (possibly another if she  does a movie with another soundtrack) 

Another for original score which I could totally see her doing and she’s already stated in an interview somewhere that she would like to arrange one. 

And the last one being for acting which I think will be the most hardest to get as the academy are very political with their choices. Also we need to take into consideration that Gaga herself is a very polarizing figure so some voters will already have their preconceived notions about her that will sway them away.

But let’s wait and see, I have high hopes for our madre monstre!

I can see Gaga getting a 2nd Oscar, this time for her acting, but even considering a 3rd one feels like a strech.

not to degrade Audrey Hepburn (she was awesome) but I think in those times it was easier to get an Oscar because there was not so much competition like today... in our modern world almost everything has been made; it´s harder to come up with new stuff too because everything has already been made in a similar way - and considering how many actors or people living on this planet there were so many decades ago compared to what we have today makes it more difficult in our time to get an Oscar, I think.

 

So my guess is she will get 1 more Oscar for best actress... at least I hope so. (It also depends on the projects she will do)

I think it’s bananas

if you think she’s getting more than 3. 
She will most likely only get 1 more, and I really don’t see it happening so soon with the Gucci movie. If you want to put your clown makeup away, and buy the new 4 way eye-line-r like a true little monster, then we can have this discussion. 2 is lots and I doubt she will get that many within almost as many years.  At the very least, she has nominations on the way. Until then.... 

 
Also, as others have said, she has more of a chance at an EGOT than getting more than 2 Oscars.
