I mean there’s a reason why everyone did stripped back, “country”-esque visuals and sounds after its release. :billie:

I actually agree with this, even though Joanne certainly has its low points like all Gaga albums.

Chromatica feels remarkably uninspired.

Do you legit think Gaga was the first to do it? :bear:

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

In Gaga's own words Joanne was futile. She scrapped the original LG5 in hopes to 'heal' her father's decades long pain with a rather mediocre song (Joanne). The second half of the album is full of filler. Million Reasons was a moment but that's about it.

How :oprah:

It has a more Gaga feel to the album. It isn’t just a basic ‘country’ album people portray it as, it covers so many elements - dance, electro, bluegrass, reggae, folk, jazz, rock whereas Chromatica has a very similar sound through it and sounds very tailored towards the radio

I disagree. I think Joanne was too tame and a bit bland in some parts. She collaborated with some interesting people and the results weren't as interesting as they could have been (except for Perfect Illusion). It's not a bad album but I feel like it's lacking that extra something that makes a Gaga album so special. I think Chromatica is more interesting and more true to Gaga.
