*realizes in real time how foolish it was to blame this coup attempt on Democrats who have been warning this was coming for years*

"Problems" isn't sedition. SEDITION is sedition.

k thanks moving on

No it’s the way you’ve read so many political thoughts from lefties over the last few months and absorbed nothing for me... Its the way I said this is mostly the republican’s fault and yet still lose it for me... The problems in question lead to sedition. Nothing ever happens in a vacuum. Y’all really wait til things get bad to react rather than seeing the signs from beforehand and it’s getting weird.

I haven't read the entire conversation but it seems to me that @StarstruckIllusion is saying that the Dems are partially responsible for allowing political relations to crack to this extent (which I would agree with), NOT that they're responsible for this attack on democracy. Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

This insurrection is the fault of Trump and his idiot followers that believe his ****.

Today has nothing to do with Democrats that voted and won back the three branches of government!

5% - 10% with the Dems but yeah agree w the first part.

Your view of politics is nothing but attacking the US. For those of us who live here, we are working to get back to some semblance of decency...and then work to make things better. That’s how our government works. You have to win elections and then work from there.

Democracy is fragile. Those of us who live here know that and understand how that works in our government.

You’re so weird oh my god the fact I’m Canadian is not a valid talking point when some natural born Americans are saying the exact same things I am 😭 Read the room and stop invading my mentions w basic platitudes nobody disagrees with

1. We don't live in a failed state

2. You've lost your damn mind if you think this is Democrats' fault. We've been pleading and warning about rising Trump fascism for 5 years now.

1. Yes we do. The fact you cant recognize that is a problem.

2. I have lost nothing. Demagogues always use economic anxiety to fuel bigotry into fascism. If both political parties catered to the people instead of their donors, this would have never happened.

Dont at me again because I dont care for your opinion.

That is not what they just said.

They just said Democrats have created problems and "problems lead to sedition." I.e Democrats (in part) directly caused Trump + his goonies to call for a violent uprising against our country.

One can't reason with someone who thinks that way.

This. That’s why “both sides” is valid here. It’s not 50/50 at all, but it’s not just completely one side either.

Google what a failed state is because I'm not your 8th grade civics teacher

And you're wrong.

It's exactly what they said. It's what we've all been saying. You're lying and attempting to project nonsense onto leftists, like you always do.

Stop exploiting what's happening right now to try to push your petty bitterness towards people on this site that are more progressive than you. I have you blocked and deliberately ignore you 90% of the time for a reason.
