Rita Ora dropped from ad campaign after breaking lockdown rules

Rita Ora has reportedly been axed as the face of the latest EE and Apple campaign. She starred in the augmented-reality ad to celebrate the launch of the Apple 12 Pro in November.  

She hit headlines shortly after when she was caught flouting strict COVID-19 rules twice. She invited around 30 people to her birthday party in London in November, which was in direct breach of the coronavirus lockdown rules in place in England at the time. She also had flown to Egypt a week prior to this to perform at an event for a six-figure sum, without quarantining.

EE took the lockdown breach very seriously and didn’t want to be seen to be endorsing her actions by having her as the face of their brand.

I'm glad to see this tbh. It shows that they won't give celebs special treatment. In Australia, the governments have allowed special treatment for Nicole Kidman, Danni Minogue and MArk Whalberg. They didn't have to isolate at directed hotels like the rest of us. It made me so angry. Covid doesn't give a **** if you're an actor!

Also, this is why celebs always try to be on the low low when they are doing things like this cos they don't wanna lose their money source. And why as people we need to call them out if they do something stupid or illegal. Hit them where it hurts, the money.
