I think criticisms come from the fact "WAP" is broadcast everywhere so parents can't really control what their kids are listening to. A striper doesn't have the same visibility and audience than a major popstar. She and her label know that they are (in some ways) selling sex for kids. So we can question why she is ok with that but not for her own kids.

this is giving me war flashbacks to the real housewives of beverly hills season 10

Sometimes it feels like I've got a war in my mind, I wanna get off but I keep riding the ride

it’s not cardi’s fault that 9 year olds today are getting the latest iphone and finding this sh!t online. i didn’t get a phone until i was 13 and it was a flip phone with no internet. lap top for school only. at first i thought it was my parents being way too strict but i can’t imagine being 13 today with access to all this sh!t without my parents helping me out a little. don’t blame cardi for a societal/the parents problem

Some people actually criticized her for this? Like why? :bradley:

Bc people have so much free time and they do love to create drama. Nothing wrong with what Cardi did and said.

Btw, off-topic, but how old is her daughter?? I swear I thought it was born like last year or something like that. Time really flies.

She's 100% correct - parents complain about lyrics in pop and violence. The solution? Don't let your child listen to radio after 10pm and put parental controls on TV

Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight

why is she getting criticsm for something more parents should be doing? Instead of blaming artist for the music they make and t being available to your kids, monitor who they listen to. Don't blame the celeb, raise your kid.

that’s up to parents themselves to censor. it’s what she’s doing, other parents can too. even i played the music video and was told to turn it off by my dad when my younger brother came in the room.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

Sorry, but everyone who is mad that their children listen to that music, need to police or control the media their children consume. Cardi can do it with her own music + control what her child is consuming, so why is it so hard for other parents? If your kid wants a certain Phone and lots of internet before reaching a certain age, you give into it (knowing the dangers of the internet) it is not Cardis fault that they‘re being exposed to that.

So obvious she set that video up

Ew. But then again you're Kanye.

I'm proud of her for doing this. I'm the same way with my nieces. I let them dance to music, but when songs like WAP come up, I run and stop or skip the song.

i know people make fun of her for replying to all the stans and that she should "not feed the trolls" but its about time someone started putting all this twitter stans to their place. hope other celebrities start doing so as well
