In fact they believe it's the opposite and it has been slowing thru history. This speed up may have have something to do with shorter term orbital cycles

That article is a load of garbage no offence. Anthropologists and Phychologists are hardly physics experts. All they have is opinions here on social aspects nothing on fundamental science

 

We literally have proof of Albert Einstein's theory or relativity on things like time dilation for very fast moving objects for example. In fact clocks on fast moving satellites have to be slightly adjusted or they will not match earth's

 

We may have have social constructs on how to define it and express it but time itself is a real thing
