Or even a car accident/injury/etc. that would put you in the ICU. :saladga:

I didn't need further convincing my booty to stay home, but there it is for folks who still want to f around.

This is so scary :/

I’m in the Bay Area where we did pretty well the whole year and now we are having 7 hour wait times to enter the emergency room! I fear we will follow in the steps of LA because no one here is taking it seriously. Everyone in my household is an essential worker and people who work with them are getting sick. It’s so close and I feel so helpless towards everything. All I can do is stay in my room and wait for it.

I’m so terrified. I live in LA and work in a shopping mall and the weeks before Christmas we’re scary. Luckily I got exposed to covid by my sisters boyfriend and was able to use that to stay out of work for a week. The week I was supposed to come back 2 coworkers tested positive so my store shut down. We are reopening tm and lucky that we were able to close for 2 weeks of December bc it is so bad. People don’t care LA is falling apart and there seems to be not even the slightest indication that we will have a comprehensive lockdown like in March. I’m scared, this pandemic has ruined my health even though I never got covid. I developed IBS and anxiety and together they work to make everyday or my life miserable. This pandemic truly messed me up.

Good god, turning people away from the hospital due to lack of resources is a nightmare scenario. And people still have the audacity to gather in groups and walk around without masks...

A fellow Bay Area GGD poster!

Yeah, I thought we were safe and then lately...it's been bad. Most of my friends and family are in the L.A. area, too, and I'm scared for them. Did you hear that in Fresno that a bunch of insane people started burning their masks in front of a Trader Joe's and the cops had to be called? Apparently they are having a really hard time enforcing people to wear masks in Tulare County and Kern County (not shocked, considering how conservative those areas are but still....).

Where’s all the a-holes members that claim this whole pandemic is being blown out of proportion just because nobody they’re close to has died/been hospitalized? Expose y’allselves

Hello fellow Bay Area monster :party:I’m in the South Bay which isn’t doing too well right now. These truly are terrifying times. I grew up in Kern County and that place is a mess right now. Everyone is acting like it’s pre- pandemic over there with people going to bars and parties with friends. I can’t imagine how things will play out in the Central Valley. Stay safe and wish you great health during these times!

Hello, I live in Kern County,

its awful here because everyone’s logic is so conservative and backwards here,

our sheriff and police department have all come out and said they won’t enforce our curfew or stay at home order and two of our hospitals ICU’s are nearing capacity as well.

yet our shopping mall is still open :cryga:

I know who you're talking about. I haven't seen that one user here in a while, so I'm guessing they got banned for spreading harmful info about covid.

Stay safe, y'all.

I honestly don't understand how they get away with defying the orders/curfew. I really hope Governor Newsom finds some way to throw the book at the local authorities/politicians....sue them, find a way for them to be unseated, whatever. I recall the California DOJ investigated Kern County's Sheriff Department for various violations a year or two ago...maybe they can do it again?

@ProdigyARTPOP I hope where ever you are in Kern County that the grocery stores  are at least offering curbside or delivery to minimize your risk. And I wish you and @SonOfAphrodite the best of health:kiss:. It's scary out right now.
