Mainly in her first years, she constructed and eccentric point of view that now is very popular as what we call now a “woke person” and she really got into people minds that she is also one of us, the BTW album with songs like the track title, Americano and more made her seem very diverse, in speech but also in action. There are tons of speeches, interviews and examples of this. Then it came ARTPOP with more downs than ups, but even then, I don’t think she’s ever going to be cancelled for real, she’s going to always be this dystopian girl that goes with this non binary trend, that seems to be here to stay. Comparing the downsides of fame to the indignity and dehumanizing experience of being incarcerated is a bit out of touch, a bit “let them eat cake”.
