TaylorSwift 162,381
San Diego ER nurse Matthew W. received the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine on Dec. 18. He started feeling sick on Christmas Eve, went to get tested on December 26 and his results came back positive for the coronavirus. And while it is surprising to many, it's not unexpected, according to health experts. Dr Christian Ramers (infectious disease specialist) said it's possibility that Matthew contracted the virus before getting the shot. 'We know from the vaccine clinical trials that it’s going to take about 10 to 14 days for you to start to develop protection from the vaccine,' 'That first dose we think gives you somewhere around 50%, and you need that second dose to get up to 95%' Ramers said. Ramers added that people shouldn’t let their guard down if they’ve gotten vaccinated, and that they should continue to follow protocols such as hand washing and wearing masks. source https://store.taylorswift.com

Helxig 45,336
Ugh this is just annoying because you know that people are gonna use it as 'evidence' that "ThE vACcInAtIoN gIvEs YoU cOvId" which is completely off the mark and also not possible I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. uo111 5,282
Vaccines take longer than that too work this isn’t even news (:
hoeslay 4,244
Keep in mind the vaccine is TWO doses and scientists recommend you don't resume "normal" activity til 2-3 weeks after the 2nd dose. The vaccine is effective.
Eighteen 5,430
oh it's good to know that it takes a couple of weeks (after the second shot) to get up to 95 percent effectiveness. i didn't know that
LGMonster95 13,704
It's not surprising because you need to take two doses of the vaccine to get to that 95% efficiency and you also need to wait some time for the vaccine to do its effect. In conclusion everyone needs to calm down, read more stuff about it and take the vaccine.
Lucas 31,108
Ever since their started talking about those vaccines they said it has 95% efficiency so I don't understand why it's everywhere in the news really
RAMROD 117,021
Knowledge is key. Just like some user in this thread already said, the vaccine needed 2 dosage, and most who got them are only getting their first. Also, since he already got vaccine, the severity must have been lowered. Keep in mind vaccine is not a cure. It is to help to amped up your immunity against this virus. MingersPrayer 585
Also I thought it was the case that the vaccine doesn’t guarantee you don’t get infected, it just makes the symptoms much weaker. edit : ok some others have already said that. Thanks <

Thanks <3 so it works like most vaccines. it’s not a guaranteed cure, it is a way to help your body handle this on its own. no vaccine has a 100% success rate. Vaccine takes a little time to give you immunity to the virus. The vaccine won't work if he was infected before or during the time of vaccination. The titles are becoming increasingly clickbaity I'm so tired of it We don't have to be like fox news, CNN, YouTube news platforms, the Sun or gossip blogs. I've become to numb to sensationalist titles I never even take them seriously anymore and always assume they are an exageration before I even read articles. It's so bad
