How can people even consider Taylor? Her global sucess is embarrasing considering how big she is in the USA, in conclusion she is a local so theres no way she ruled this decade outside USA :haroon:

I haven't seen Adele mentioned at all... 21 was the top charting album of the decade

I think that male has to be Drake. 200+ entries for the decade

I just dont get the hype for Taylor, she is a great songwriter, probably the best outhere but the fact that she has the biggest numbers doesn't mean shes the one with the biggest impact worldwide. Gaga in the other hand was all over the place during 2010-2012, BR, Telephone, Alejandro controversy, VMAS, meat dress, when she release BTW bitch really said respect LGBT community, Judas controversy all over the world, the multiples performances during ARTPOP, even the flop of ARTPOP was news, the way she gain the respect of elder people during cheek to cheek, the sound of music at the oscars, the national anthem, the golden globe which taylor loose by the way, the acclaim of the superbowl and ASIB, the OSCARS. And so many more moments, the way elder people is likely to know the name "Lady Gaga" than Taylor Swift, so yeah numbers: Taylor, Gaga: Impact. But to me who ruled this decade is Gaga, as to be good in one thing (sales and music) is not everything :bye:

Adele did have 2 of the best selling albums of the decade

i don't think Billboard has announced the top 5 artists of the decade (the website says it will be revealed at the 2021 BBMAs which is...weird) but i'm pretty sure it's Drake at number 1. seems like the rest of the top 5 are Adele, Rihanna, Taylor and Bruno Mars since they aren't on the list at all

edit: i googled and found a reddit thread, it leaked last year and the top 5 are 1. Drake, 2. Taylor Swift, 3. Bruno Mars, 4. Rihanna and 5. Adele.

the rest of the top 20 are: Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Post Malone, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Imagine Dragons, The Weeknd, Nicki Minaj, Eminem, Luke Bryan, P!nk, One Direction and Justin Timberlake.

Was originally going to be 2020 BBMAs, but I think they were worried about viewership with it being virtual and everything, so they waited
