No it isn't, and it should NOT be a single after it's been this long since the hype for it died. The best strategy would be having a video WHEN the audio was out, but that is long gone

Thank you for your opinion. I completely agree that most of the songs are single worthy. I do think Sour Candy has potential but I'm a basic little monster and I want Babylon or Replay 🙈

Yes, it’s absolutely single worthy in so many ways. However, I really feel like this ship has sailed. It should’ve been a real single like a month after the album was released. All of those streams and all the hype and stuff was well worth it to push this song as a single. But now, I kind of don’t think it would be worth too much of an investment.

 

At this point, IF she wants to keep pushing singles she needs to make one of the songs a remix or something with a rapper because this album has had a long time to create buzz and a lot of time has been wasted.

 

And if there really is a new single from Chromatica, it’s probably just gonna be a G.U.Y. situation (great visuals, maybe a performance or two, but it’ll bomb on the charts), where it’s kind of just for the fans. Oh wait.... this was already 911.

YES. No other song can get huge media mileage as readily as Sour Candy. It has two huge fan-bases ready to support it, plus it's not a bad song. It's actually an earworm! Give it a radio edit with an additional verse or two, or a breakdown, and it's golden.

I feel like the "Gaga is back", "Gaga does art" angle has already been used up by Stupid Love and 911, so Gaga collab-ing with the biggest girl group in the world, would be a good idea to grab those headlines. It's her best bet to stretch the era if that's what she wants to do. It will afford her the heat to release one more single after.

I do think Replay, Babylon and 1000 Doves (Piano Version) can make good cases for releases, too. I am in awe of this album, obviously. Send 1000 Doves to AC/HAC and it's done.

I don’t think Sour Candy would have longevity on the charts because well.. it’s a kpop song mostly. But the YouTube views and Spotify streams is worth the effort in making a music video (around 500M additional streams across both platforms)
