Yes they are. Its happened a lot and has gave great insight. Its definitely ethically questionable but a lot of scientists, governments and universities are on-board with HCT. I mean there are literally companies designed specifically for this...

“A lot” is very generous. I think what you mean is very rarely, not usually in developed nations, and not for usually deadly diseases.

Corona virus isn’t a rarity, this is being done purely to save money by reducing the number of participants required.

Y'all in here doing the most and clearly cannot read. These people are willingly signing up to do this. I am sure they are being well taken care off. Also, for something like this to have been approved for testing, then they are probably sure they won't just drop dead after taking the medicine. Mess. People really should not be passing judgment on something they know nothing about.

Its usually in developed nations as they have the resources to do so. There's a company in London specifically for HCT and there are quite a few.

Yep, there's trials done on deadly diseases.

You only need to use Google to know that what you're saying is incorrect.

To add: the ethical part really seems to be the fact that scientists aren't 100% sure how much of the virus to "inject" so to say due to lack of information, whereas other diseases we are more familiar with so its a lot more controlled.

Literally half of the comments are people passing judgment.

Human challenge trials have been extremely informative in the past and have helped a lot. The Nazi comparison is just daft.

That is quite a distasteful take. :rip:

I don’t trust any government health experiment project, especially one that will be as rushed as this one. History proves they take advantage of the experiment

You only need google to see this is extremely rare. Not something done “all the time.”

Can you link the website of the company that somehow makes money off this? I’d love to read about them.

"Over the 20th and 21st centuries, vaccines for some 15 major pathogens have been fast-tracked in human challenge studies – involving about 30,000 participants who had no serious adverse effects – while contributing toward vaccine development to prevent cholera, typhoid, seasonal flu, and other infections. According to medical ethicists, methods of conducting clinical trials by human challenge testing have improved over the 21st century to satisfy ethical, safety, and regulatory requirements, becoming scientifically acceptable and ethically valid as long as participants are well-informed and volunteer freely, and the trials adhere to established rigor for conducting clinical research."

This is just from the basic wiki page on HCT.

There are quite a few companies that do this. These in particular are currently working in partnership with the gvt for covid it seems however if you click services you'll see they've been doing it for 10+ years.

There are quite a few companies that do this.

200 studies and 45,000 participants (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1044532320300452#bbib0035) is literally almost nothing.

Pfizer and Moderna each had more participants than that for their studies, and that’s one study in one year, not 200 over decades.

Do you know how many studies are performed around the world yearly?  https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/resources/trends Over 350,000 per year.

This is EXTREMELY rare, and not the norm. There are also better reasons for it than what they are doing with this covid research. Them doing this for covid for literally no reason is cause for concern and shouldn’t be brushed off as no big deal.

Surely you can list one? I want to know their names but all that comes up is universities and covid.

You're changing your statement now, you said "never ever" happens. I'm simply correcting you.

My first statement was incorrect. My second statement, that they are very rare, is what you quoted with a wikipedia page
