Yes, there may be some underlying anti-vaccine tone in the post but she's mainly focusing on the hypocrisy of the whole thing. And Demi just says she made some great points, it doesn't mean she agrees with the anti-vaccine part.

Cancer caused by smoking doesn’t spread to others.

For example, it would be useless to outlaw drugs like tobacco and alcohol, or radical sports, or fighting championships.

It does when you smoke around other people. Fortunately you can't do that in restaurants, bars etc anymore, but there are still a lot of outside places where you can't avoid that. Bus stops, for example. Or parents who smoke in front of the school when waiting for their kids to come out :fail:

Alcohol, drugs, sports etc have nothing to do with that, doing it only involves those who do it.

All these questions are to be answered by professionals if the vaccines were to be approved, and they are approved, so there's no need to worry. People who still question tehse vaccines while scientists are approving them are just plain ignorant.

Not everyone who has doubts about the vaccine is an anti-vaxxer

I think it’s reasonable to have doubts about this new load of covid vaccines, because they’re new, but not to oppose them, because they’re necessary. My last observation was just a general one regarding the anti-vaccine movement. I acknowledge Demi’s post barely touched that issue.

It’s easier to avoid second hand smoke though, at least in my area. It’s not the same as Covid. Someone without a mask in a store can spread Covid, but it’s not like they could do something like smoke cigarettes inside.

If we are to be exact, all of those things can affect others. Alcohol causes car crashes and domestic violence, for example. Radical sports might injure the audience. My point was that harming others is not essential to those things, but it is to infectious diseases, and because of that the issues should be handled differently.
